Amphenol Industrial Operations expands ePower-Lite portfolio with new mini X high-voltage connector

Amphenol Industrial Operations has expanded its ePower-Lite® family of compact high-voltage connectors with the introduction of the new ePower-Lite Mini X, designed for today's increasingly space-constrained electrification applications.

The Mini X is designed to support the evolving needs of electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), fuel cell vehicles (FCVs), heavy equipment, factory automation, and industrial electrification systems. It continues the versatility of the proven ePower-Lite connector family while maintaining the robust performance and reliability expected in Amphenol Industrial Operations.

This dual-position connector supports operating voltages up to 1000VDC and current ratings up to 35A, providing a compact solution for auxiliary high-voltage systems with limited installation space. Optional high-voltage interlock circuit (HVIL) and electromagnetic interference shielding configurations, combined with IP67 and IP6K9K environmental seals, IP2XB touch safety protection, and secondary locking, help support safe and reliable operation in harsh environments.

As electrification platforms integrate more power electronics into smaller packages, connector size, weight, and flexibility have become increasingly important design considerations. Mini X addresses these challenges by providing a lightweight, compact interface without sacrificing durability or electrical performance.

Mini X complements the existing ePower-Lite family, which includes 3.6 mm, 5.7 mm, and Mini connector platforms, giving engineers greater flexibility in selecting the best fit for their current, voltage, package, and application requirements.
